Once a colonial bungalow, Karen Country Lodge, is located in the leafy green, Karen suburbia. Draped in modern, chic decor, the lodge radiates a stunning, serene ambience that captivates any audience. A handful of suites are scattered throughout the grounds, each reflecting the distinct character of their primary purpose and combining carefully appointed original features with elegant, contemporary design. IDEAL FOR
Couples will particularly enjoy Karen Country Lodge. It has an expansive living area, wood burning stove and a huge bathtub. The lodge has seven different themed cottages on offer for visitors. In each cottage, the individual balconies open up to a walkway that leads to the freshwater spring, offering a secluded escape suitable for sun-downers or cocktail parties. The various herb gardens offer a variety of scents and flavours that usually end up on visitors’ plates.MY ROOM
The cottage boasts vaulted ceilings finished with contemporary brushed steel and natural black slate. It had a king-sized, hand-carved, red mahogany bed. You don’t get much fancier than that! If you’re looking for a great night’s sleep, then you’ve come to the right place. Every cottage also has a large en-suite bathroom made with exquisite Italian marble. If you want to have a choice between a shower and a bath, then you’re not going to struggle. The bathroom comes with a twin shower, as well as a large stand-alone claw-foot tub. Guests have a spacious, open-plan lounge area which has a fireplace, making it the ideal place to relax and watch a movie on the LCD flat-screen TV.
RESTAURANT AND BAR
The lodge has a great little restaurant and bar for visitors to get all their food and drinks at. The restaurant is open daily and has trained chefs on hand to cook your favourite meals. The chefs have created an exceptional menu that offers something for everyone. This varies from brilliant traditional Sunday roasts and brunch to pub grub night.
LODGE FUNCTIONS
As you can imagine from the lodge’s natural beauty, the place has become famous for functions and weddings. With the stunning lush green gardens and the large water-feature fountains, they provide an excellent backdrop for a fancy wedding or corporate event.
